The Family Resource Program Network is a group of professionals working in family resource programs who meet together for support, networking, and educational opportunities to enhance their work with families. This network meets three to four times per year and welcomes any community groups providing family resource programming to families in the Surrey-White Rock community.

What is a Family Resource Program?
Family Resource Programs (FRPs) are free, community-based programs for families
with young children. Each FRP is unique but all provide a warm and friendly place for parents and their young children to meet other families, socialize, take part in play activities, and access resources and learning activities.
The most common FRP programs are:
- Drop-In times for parents/caregivers and their young children. Many Drop-In’s offer circle times, visits with Public Health Nurses, and toy lending libraries
- Parent-Child Mother Goose program
- Information and referral to community resources
- Community kitchen programs
- Parent education and support programs
Some FRPs also offer:
- Programs for Dads and their children together
- Family dinners
- Nobody’s Perfect Parenting Program or other parenting programs such as Right From The Start or Triple P
- Workshops of interest to families
- Harvest Box
- Kindergarten readiness programs
All families with young children are welcome at all FRPs – including yours!
